Caramel and milk chocolate cookies
This recipe gives 60 delicious caramel flavored mini cookies with milk chocolate chips. The sugar hearts gives that extra Valentines day feel to it, but of course they are just as tasty without.
200 g butter
2 dl light muscovado sugar
1 tsp vanilla powder
2 tbsp golden syrup
4 dl all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 dl chopped milk chocolate (put in refrigerator until it's time to mix it with the dough)
60 pcs of red sugar hearts
Preheat the oven to 175° C. Mix the flour and baking powder and add the remaining ingredients (everything except the milk chocolate).
Mix well in a bowl and knead the dough before the milk chocolate pieces are added and mixed in gently. Then put the dough in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.
Roll into four cylinders and cut into 15 pieces each, in total 60 pieces. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and place one sugar heart on each piece.
Bake in batches for about 10 minutes each until the cookies are light golden brown.
